What Is the Creativity Center?

The Creativity Center is a place where teachers, parents and community members come to create innovative educational materials, brainstorm for ideas, and consult resource materials under the guidance of the professional staff. A department of the Coalition for Jewish Learning, the Creativity Center is temporarily housed in the Lemel Building, 7161 N. Port Washington Road, in a stimulating setting offering workspace, display areas and ample production supplies.

How Does the Creativity Center Serve Educators?

Congregational, day and nursery schools all use the Creativity Center for curriculum and program consultation, project assistance and outreach. The Creativity Center staff also presents workshops in the Center and at teacher in-services.

How Does the Creativity Center Serve Families?

The Creativity Center contains many ideas for projects, games and activities that are designed to enhance home participation and observance of Jewish holidays and reinforce Hebrew learning. There are also many activities on Israel. Parents may work on projects with their child in the Creativity Center or bring the directions and materials home to do with their family. A collection of children's and adult books, audio cassette tapes and CDs are available for loan.
